WOW! I am very clever in coming up with new ideas!
Learning Intention: We are learning to follow the language feature of a recount.
Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I group my ideas in order using paragraphs of our Thursday art session.
On Thursday the 30th of June, Siliga and Salome came back to our class for our tenth art session. When they walked in, we all welcomed them back to our class.
Then Salome arranged the tables, one was the painting table, one was the not finished table, one was the drying table and one was the glueing table.
When Salome and Siliga said, "GO!" I ran to the glueing table because one of my spots for the ladybug had come off. Right after Siliga glued my spots on my ladybug, I went to the painting table to paint my insect body red. Salome gave us some ideas of how we can make our bugs better. She said that when we have finished painting our bugs, we can go to her and she will spray paint our sculptures to make it better because some of our bugs were made of plastic and the paint didn't really work on the plastic.
When I finished painting the body of my sculpture red, I painted the spots black. I painted the whole body first because I had an idea in mind. My idea was that if I painted the body of my sculpture and finish it off with the paint, then Salome could spray paint it all red for me. After that, I can paint over the red paint the black spots and the face for my insect. I had a feeling that this would make my ladybug even better than my first attempt.
Right when I was about to give Salome my sculpture to spray paint, SIliga screamed, "Pack up time!" so we all rushed around the classroom trying to get the classroom clean as fast as we can. I was the last one to sit down because I had to wiped the tables because there was paint all over the tables. It was very hard for me to get the paint off. Eventually the classroom was spotless.
Then we all said, "Thank you Siliga and Salome for helping us to finish our sculptures!" Then Salome told us that we will be having a shared lunch next Thursday in the last week of the Term. I was very excited because it was my first shared lunch in Room 7 and my brother said that there were fun times when they had shared lunch.
My favourite part was when I came up with my idea for making my ladybird better because I thought I was very clever in coming up with the idea.

WOW! I cant believe my pets are getting along!
Learning Intention: We are learning to follow the structure of a recount.
Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I write the introduction, followed by the events and a conclusion about our new puppy.
On Saturday the 2nd of July,
my dad was on Facebook scrolling down the news feed, and he saw that his friend was selling puppies.
My dad called all of us to come and take a look. He asked us if we wanted a puppy and we all screamed, "Yes!" My dad texted his friend and asked, "How much for one?" He said it was $400 dollars but he will sell it to us for $300 dollars.
We were all excited but worried about our cat. Our cat goes out for adventures around the house. Our neighbourhood has dogs and sometimes our cat fights with the dogs, so we weren't sure if she'd fight with our puppy or not.
When my dad's friend arrived with the puppy, we all ran outside to meet them. My dad's friend told us all about the puppy and it is a boy.
I was the first person in my family to hold our puppy. My mum took me to the pet shop and we bought our puppy a ball to play with, a dog brush, some dog food and shampoo and conditioner to bathe him in, a bed and a food bowl.
When we arrived back home, we all sat down to figure out a name for him until the name Brownie popped into my head.
After that, we all took Brownie outside so he could get use to the backyard. My adventurous cat came wandering around the corner, but she didnt care about the dog. She went to Brownie straight away and played with him.
Soon my dad came out and said, "Hey, I'm going to the gym so you have to take great care of him!" and we all replied, "Yes! we will take great care of our little Brownie!"
By the time my dad got back, we were all cuddled up and had fallen asleep on the couch. Brownie licked my cheek to wake me up. I got up and fed him a little can of dog food.
Then I went back to sleep. Somehow, Brownie made his way to me and slept on my stomach. My mum threw a blanket over us and we soon dozed off.
My favourite part of the day was when my cat played with Brownie, because it was cute and it was great that they can get along.

When was your last sleepover?
Learning Intention: We are learning to follow the structure of a recount.
Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I follow the structure of a recount using the Introduction, followed by the events and the conclusion about my sleepover.
On Friday the 24th of June, my little cousin Anastacia came to my house for a sleepover. She was staying until Sunday.
First we went shopping for food. We bought some popcorn, chips, water, lollies and fizzy drinks.
When we got home, my older sister sorted out some movies ready for us to watch. My mum pulled the table to the side to make more room for us to sleep. I grabbed some blankets and pillows and laid them out for us to sleep on.
After that, we all laid down on the layer. I was very relaxed. My mum put all the food on the tables so that it won't fall on the bed.
We watched High School musical 1, 2 and 3. We also watched Finding Dory, Adventures in babysitting, picture this and Abduction.
My favourite movie was Fining Dory because he was back with his family at the end of the movie.
We ate and watched until we had finished all the food. We also drank a lot of water.
It was six o'clock so my sister and I grabbed our phones and decided to make Musical.lys, I made 3 and my sister made 4. Then I turned off the light and continued watching our movies.
Soon it was eight o'clock so we brushed our teeth because my cousin Anastacia sleep early. My cousin and I slept at eleven thirty and my sister slept at twelve thirty. How ever when my mum put more layers on us (because we were cold), we all woke up. We said goodnight, to my mum and she kissed us all.
Whjile my mum kissed us, she found out that there was a ball of fur next to us and it was my cat. My mum patted my cat, my cat said"Meow," and then she dozed off. We soon dozed off to sleep as well.
My favourite part of the day was when my cat was sleeping with us because it is cute and cuddly.
