Best Mum in the world

My mum is beautiful, because she wears stylish clothes and she makes my room shine with her own smile!  She is an awesome person,  because she takes me out shopping.

My mum is loving, she gives me a kiss and a hug before I go to bed and to school. She also gives me a snuggle if I am scared and have a nightmare.

She is helpful, she asked me if I need help or if I am stuck with my homework.

 She tells me to be smart, loving and helpful to others at school.

She is kind. She lets me go to Eti's house for Sio's birthday party and for a make up party.

 She doesn't want me to get hurt or sick.

 I love my mum more than she loves her self. 

I will always make my mum proud

If my mum dies I will be sad, but ill always be her little Tongan Princess. 

Countries that took part in the world war 1

These are the countries that took part in World War 1. World war 1 started in 1914 and ended in 1918. New Zealand represented the Allied Troops.

ANZAC celebration Term 2 week 3

Our school celebrated the soldiers and nurses who died during the World War 1.

First Mrs Bullot said a speech and she said ‘my own uncle died during the war and my own dad got injured during the war’. Then Room 8 started reading and moving  about the object.

After that Room 7 started reading prayers about the people who died and got injured in the war.

Then Mrs Bullot told us to stand up and sing the National anthem, while we were singing some people in Room 8,7,5,2 and 1 got a cross from their teacher and they put it in front of the students. The cross had names on it. Later on we did the sign of the cross and went back to our class.

WALT- rewrite what I'v heard from the ANZAC liturgy. I know I can do this when I listen to what I heard at ANZAC liturgy.

My brainstorm about ducks

Today I worked all by myself to brainstorm what I know about ducks. Last term I did a report about ducks.

Meeting Manaikalani Schools

Hurray!! Nine Manaikalani schools went to Point England beach to welcome the waka.

The first thing we did was to get on the bus to take us to Point England beach. We were with room1 and room8. Then Kolio and room8 sang wheels on the bus.

When we arrived there, I saw lots of students. Then we walked to the shore. 
Next, we waited for everyone to be settled and also for the waka to come. When the waka came everyone was quiet. Then a lady spoke in Maori, to welcome them.

After that someone blew the horn. The students in front of us did the haka, because the people from the waka was approaching the shore. Some of us sang the haka song.

Then we sang He Honore. When we finished singing, someone said a speech. Then we sang Nga waka song.

After that, a lady told Miss Chao that we are going to high five the crew. A lady and I did a fist bump. I was laughing.

 We walked to our bus. Rooms1, 8 and my class waited for our bus, while the others went back to school in their bus. We waited for a long time for our bus to come.

Finally our bus came to take us back to school. When we got back, we ate morning tea.

It was an awesome day!! 

Room 5l's favourite sport

Summary: 
We found out that Room 5L's, favourite sport is Ice skating. 7 children likes Ice skating.We found out that Room 5L's less favourite sport is Golf and Rugby.Only 2 children like these sports.

Saint Patrick Day

Hurray!! Yesterday we celebrated Saint Patricks Day!!

First Mrs. Bullot put us in groups. My leader was Anna and I was in  Tipperary group.

Next we went to our activity. Our game was to hold the tennis ball and get a tiny hoop and throw it in the cone. If it get's in the cone you get a point.    

Then Isaac rang the bell, so we had to move to our next game. It  was to hold, a ball and run around the cone and back. Isaac rang the bell again, so  we had to move. We played lot and lots of games.

Our last game was with Miss Chao. We all sat down and waited for Mrs. Bullot to say the winning team. The winning team was Limericks.

Mrs. Bullot and the teachers gave all of us ice blocks. Then room7 said the lunch prayer. We went to class and grab our lunch and ate.
