Segments

L.I-W.A.L.T... find simple fractions of shapes and lengths.

(A) Mum bought these lolly snakes she shared each one equally among her five children. How many segments did each child get.

1/5 of 100= 20 segments. I know it is 20 because 

5 x  20=100, 20 + 20=40, 20 + 20 = 40 and 40 + 40 = 80 so 80 + 20 =100,  100 ÷ 5 = 20.

Milk is important because it gives us energy. Milk is good for our body because it makes my bones and teeth strong. Milk is important because you can put it on our cereal.

You can use milk for cooking. Milk makes us fit. It has different kind of flavour. There is a Strawberry, Chocolate and Lime flavour.

I think milk is the best drink in the world.

Dear Coach Liz,
