The Wonky Donkey

Omg!! A donkey with three legs!!

One sunny day I saw a donkey with three legs because he fell over a big rock and broke his leg. He was half blind because he lost his eyeglasses. When I hugged him he smelt very bad because he did a fart.

When we listened to rock music he danced because he dreamed to be a rock star.  He dressed up as Elvis because he was a big fan. Donkey always bothered his neighbour because he taught of them as his friends.

His neighbours always knock on the door to asked if he ate their washing.

That's how he was called the wonky donkey.

When an Earthquake hits

 

Today we have been discussing what to do in an earthquake. The safest options are to Drop, Cover and Hold. In class Miss Paton took photographs of us under the tables and under the door frame.                                              

Captured By Aliens!!

Ahhh!! Im captured by aliens!!

My spaceship landed perfectly on Saturn. When I opened the door and went to explore it, creepy aliens came and captured me. 

I woke up in darkness, then a bright light appeared. They asked how is life on Earth.  I said there are worms, snakes and spiders in houses.I had a thought that they wanted to come and destroy earth, so I lied. 

I also said that people hate each other and they hate aliens, and if they see aliens then they'll shoot them because they are harmful.  I said the water is poisonous. I told them that earth is in a middle of a war that's why I came to Saturn. They looked at each other and set me free. So I hopped into my spaceship and flew to the moon.

I will never go back to Saturn ever again.

How could adults be better?

How could adults be better?

I believe adults could be better if they don't smack kids.
Adults should not drink alcohol in front of their kids, because the kids might think its fizzy and drink it.
Adults should not tell off their kids in public because it would embarrassed them.

Adults should not fight, swear and argue, because they can end up killing each other.

Adults can be better if they spend time with their children and play with them.

Adults should not smack kids, because they will get hurt.

Most of all adults should not smoke when they are pregnant because it can affect the child.

Sharing my maths Strategy.

Last week I was given the maths problem 5/20 I had to share my strategies. I used we-video to record my thinking.

Auckland Live Trip!!

Hurray!! We are going to Aotea Centre!!

On the last day of school, Rooms 1,2,5 and 7 went to Aotea Centre. First we got our partner and hopped into the bus. I was so excited!!

When we arrived, I took off my bag and placed it with the others. Then I went in line and waited.

After that I watched the dancers doing creative dancing. I saw them make spirals, shapes, and patterns. They did lots of dancing. The dancer taught us actions that is part of the haka.

 Then we used ipads to use the digital camera to look in the bird house. I saw colourful birds. Some birds were flying around, some were upside down and some were walking around. 

After that, I went downstairs to my next activity. There was a big screen with faces of people on it. We had to dial a number to contact  telecom. I had to blow the phone and when I did the people's hair was blown away. 

Then I went to the Harold Theatre. I watched a play about electricity. The actors were Rimu and Koru.

Finally we hopped in the bus and went back to school. It was the best day that I didn't want to leave Aotea Centre because I had lots of fun.  I wish we could go there again.
