Badminton!!

Hurray!! Its Badminton time!!On Friday my class went to the hall for badminton.

First I had a warm up. I had to jog and run sideways twice and jump. I had to run to the other side of the hall.

Next I learned how to hold the racket. My fingers need to be in a shape of a V. My knuckles need to be straight.Then coach Ben gave me a shuttle. I started to practise hitting the shuttle. It was a bit easy for me.

But then Hannah came to me and said Akesa hit her in the eye, so I  took her to Mrs. Twomey.Finally we said "thank you" to Ben and we headed off to class.

It was short but I had lots of fun, I really enjoyed my day.

Chocolate

Should children be allowed to eat chocolate when ever they want to??

Children should not be allowed to eat chocolate because it makes them stay awake. Children should not eat chocolate because they can get hyperactive. It has lots of sugar.

Children should not be allowed to eat chocolate because they can get diabetes. Chocolate is not healthy because if you keep eating it you can get fatter and fatter.

Children should be allowed to eat chocolate because it has walnuts in them. Children should be allowed because its yummy and crunchy.

I think children should not eat chocolate because your teeth can get rotten.

Ice Cream (Persuasive)

Should Children be allowed to eat ice cream when ever they want to??

Children should be allowed to eat ice cream when it is a hot sunny day because it cools them down. Children should be allowed to eat ice cream because its yummy and delicious. Children be allowed to eat ice cream once a week only, so they don't catch a cold.

Children should not be allowed to eat ice cream because it is not healthy, it has lots of sugar. Children should not eat ice cream because you can get diabetes if you eat too much.

But I think, ice cream is delicious, yummy and cool.

Homework? Yes Or No

I think children should have homework so they can learn things.

I think homework can help us have an education. Children should have homework because it helps you to be smart and clever. 

Children should be given homework so they can have a better future.

Also, I think children should not have homework because they also like to have fun with their family. Children should not have homework because they had too much school work already.

I think children should not have homework because they are already too tired studying lot of in school.

My Double Decker Burger

Today, my teacher Mrs Twomey asked us to make a poster of a burger using google drawing. My one is called the "Double Decker Burger".  Its very cheap, its only $2.60. 

Athletics day

Hurray its athletics day!!

Today is athletics day. Hurray! 
                     
First Mrs Bullot put us in our houses. Then we started racing. I ran like flash and I came first.

After that Yr.4 and under went to the top court to play tabloid games. I was the leader in my group. I liked Sr Evalesi's game the best because she did tin bin bowling.

 I like it because I got a strike. Then Mrs Bullot blew the whistle and said it was lunch time, then we prayed and grabbed our lunch. After lunch was tug of war.

 It was Rata vs Rimu, and Rimu won. When Kauri and Totara pulled the rope everybody jumped on the field and cheered for Totara but Kauri was so strong that they won. I was a bit angry. 
After that Mrs. Bullot announced the winner. 

Rata won but at least we came second.

Special time with my cousin

Hurray!! My cousin and I went to a motel swimming pool connected to the beach on Christmas day in Tonga, last 2012.

First, we opened our room so I can get changed. When I finished, we ran to the pool. My cousin walked me down the steps.

Next, we jumped in the water. She taught me how to swim. I learned how to float on my stomach. 

My cousin had to go home, when they left, I got bored. My mum came and found out that she left her shoes on the chair. We went to her house to give her shoe back. Kiara gave me a lollie and I said "thank you". We kissed goodbye and went back to the motel.

That was an awesome day that I would never forget.   

What I am good at

Do you know what I am good at?

I am good at playing Netball. I can shoot the ball into the hoop. I can defend the ball from others and I can catch it without

dropping.

At home, I am good at baking. I can help my brother knead the dough. I can butter the tray and put it in the oven without burning myself. I am good at cleaning the house. I vacuum the lounge, the office and rub off the drawings on the wall. I am good at hanging the washing. I can put the clothes on the washing line and peg it.

At school, I am good at subtraction and division. I can count up to one thousand and write the numbers in words. I am good at reading. I can read and understand the story. I can ask questions about the story and find the answer in the book that I read and publish it on my blog. I am good at writing. I can put capital letters and pull stops in the right place. I can make my story interesting by using a hook, and adjectives. I can publish my stories in my blog. 

This are all the things I am good at.
